This is Alex ^

Alex is on a bike.

Alex is a fat lazy git and isn't very good at being on a bike for long.

But, Alex is riding his bike from Paris to London, to raise money for Room to Read.

Room to Read are really cool, but they're not too cool for school. Instead they build schools. They build schools and focus on girls' education and children's literacy in Asia and Africa.

You went to school, so you know that's cool.

REAL TALK: I've never done a ride like this before and it's going to be pretty damn hard. It'll really help to know that you've supported this amazing charity. To show you how grateful I am, I've thought of a few rewards for people who make donations:

EXECUTIVE REWARD SCHEME $$$
===============================
Make a donation on my JustGiving page and leave a comment or email me ([email protected]) to claim your prize. First come, first serve.

I've paid ~£400 for the rider costs and bike hire myself, so EVERY PENNY of your donation will go to Room to Read.

£30 - ONE HOUR OF RICK ROLLS (6/10 left)
-----------------------------------------
Whilst cycling from Paris to London, make me listen to Rick Astley's SMASH HIT SINGLE "Never Gonna Give You Up". On repeat. For an hour. You'll get video footage of me enjoying it. Or, towards the end, of me crying in a ball.

You can also create your own hour-long playlist. Get weird with it. Donate here.

£60 - JAM SLAP (3/5 left)
--------------
I know I've annoyed you at some point. Now you can slap me in the face, with a hand full of jam, no questions asked.

Small print: Slap from 1 foot away. No thumb rings. You may replace jam with a condiment of your choice. Donate here.

£300 - ACTUAL SERIOUS TECH CONSULTANCY (half price)
---------------------------------------------------
When I'm not making stupid websites I've helped guide dozens of startups as a CTO or technical consultant. From giants like Unilever, to solo-founder and YCombinator startups. I've launched my own products in Selfridges and I'm currently Head of Software at the Beano.

This will get you a full "How do I launch my startup" workshop and follow-up support (one afternoon in London, then via email). I usually offer this for about £600, and am dropping the price for the first 2 buyers. Imagine having a technical co-founder for an afternoon, leaving with a roadmap for turning your idea into something real. Feel free to email me for more info.

The most recent workshop I ran resulted in about £10,000 of immediate savings for the founder, and their first customers within weeks rather than after months of app development in the wrong direction.
